Thoughts on Misery & Meditation..

                                        Sometimes I meditate for 2-3 hours straight and sometimes for a minute. Sitting straight, maintaining slow breathing.. I do. But do I really just concentrate on my breathing for such long time without getting any thoughts? No. During initial practices I tried to concentrate on my breathing but I failed every single time. Eventually I realized it is not possible for me to get over the tides of thoughts which hit me one after the other. As I am enjoying meditation irrespective of whether I am following definition of it by gurus or not, I continued my way, which is to use that silence to think about how the life is going, understanding root cause(s) of current problems and what can be done to set myself free and happy.                We feel low, incapable, demotivated and stressed somet...
